We recently bought a house that we knew needed renovating and updating. The bathrooms were from the 1970s, the floors and the stairs were old and needed replacing, and the kitchen cabinets had to be sanded and repainted.

I was very lucky because David had worked on my condo before and so I knew how reliable he is and the quality of his work. But while he was my first choice, I still did my due diligence and asked for quotes from a couple of other contractors.

Even though all the quotes were very comparable, I immediately realized that David was the right choice because you just get so much more value by working with him. With the other contractors, I would have just gotten the standard remodel, with the standard look, and I would have had to do all the work myself in picking out the finishes and fixtures. But with David, because he has such an eye for design and detail, it’s like having a design service in addition to the remodeling work. He helped me choose amazing finishes and fixtures that made the whole project come together and look better than I ever imagined – while sticking to the budget.

Not only does David have great style, but the whole process of working with him is so effortless that it’s easy to recommend him to anyone who needs a remodeling contractor. For one thing, he’s very personable and it’s always a pleasure to chat with him. For another, he’s always responsive. He gets back to you right away and he does everything by the day he says he’ll do it. If there’s any kind of delay, he lets you know about it ahead of time.

I also really appreciate his flexibility. We had limited opportunities to get into the house before the closing and he accommodated this unpredictable schedule, met us at the house and got all the measurements. That’s how his crew was able to get started on the renovations the day after we closed on the house, which David knew was important to us.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with this renovation. It was done on time, the crew was professional and helpful, and the results are beautiful and very functional. The biggest surprise for me is how much I absolutely love my kitchen now – with the updated cabinets and the new floor, it looks like a brand new room.

And the kicker to this whole experience? After the seller of this house saw pictures of the renovation, she was so impressed that she asked for David’s information as she’s looking for someone to redo her bathrooms!
